venice thank you notes
at VeniceWord.com we often receive letters of tourists who had a great time in venice and wish to thank someone personally. the last one came in some minutes ago, by Rene seeking the gondolier “Allejjandro” (the correct spelling is Alessandro).
we’re passing on your messages, and in addition we can use this blog if you wish to thank this person in public. just add your comments to this post.

First of all, I would like to congratulate www.veniceword.com and buongiornovenezia.com on the very professional journalism, exhibited in the service of the tourists visiting Venice. Secondly, I would like to thank for regular sending of buongiorno venezia to my e-mail address. I can never find elsewhere the same richness of news about Venice, as I can in buongiorno venezia…It is a “must” media for anyone who wishes to acquaint himself with the promptu events in Venice, whilst veniceword.com serves as a permanent reference to Venice in every way.
Thank you also for announcing my book, THE SECOND VENICE on the “History” page of veniceword.com. Don’t you think THE SECOND VENICE is a good remedy for the complaints Venice has, for the excessive tourist influx into your lovely City? Don’t miss this incredibly humorous book!
Askin Ozcan, author of THE SECOND VENICE. available at www.veniceword.com (History of Venice)

thanks fr your unexpected thank you notes.. to us! i found the basic idea in your book very ironic and stimulating: building a second, fake and much more comfortable venice to give hospitality to the millions of tourists. but i wonder if the real venice is already going to become a fake one: residents are experiencing such a change in the life of the city that sometimes they feel like living in a museum…

I live between UK and Venice - Cannaregio, and I most appreciate the “real Venice” you talk about in your blog and excellent newsletter. I made all my clients know about it.

Hi I am still seeking Alessandro, a Gondolier near the Hotel Cavaletto. I hope that someone will see this and let me know how to get a hold of him. Thank you!!
